Nishimura Banchaya Honten's trademark is the character 兵(soldier) inside a circle, based on the original store's name that included the characters 丸(circle) and 兵. Up until the Meiji era, for generations the head of the family took the name Hyozaemon (using the characters 兵左衛門), but at some point, the succession of the name ended. All that remains is this trademark.
